I-4 Interim Improvements in Seminole County

The Segment 3 interim projects in Seminole County include three construction projects:

Milling and resurfacing of eastbound I-4 from Lake Mary Boulevard to C.R. 46A and from S.R. 46 to the Seminole/Volusia County line to extend the life of the pavement. FPID: 439682-2, -5

Cost $7.5 million estimated construction cost

Dates Letting in April 2019 Construction began in September 2019 Construction completed in May 2020


Replacing the E.E. Williamson bridge with a new, wider bridge that includes more bicycle and pedestrian features, and adding an eastbound I-4 auxiliary lane from end of I-4 Ultimate to Lake Mary Boulevard, which will improve the flow of traffic in the area. FPIDs: 439682-3, -4

Cost $17 million estimated construction cost

Dates Letting in May 2019 Construction began in September 2019


Milling and resurfacing of westbound I-4 from Lake Mary Boulevard to the Seminole/Volusia County Line (excluding Wekiva Section 8 limits: I-4 westbound from C.R. 46A to S.R. 46) to extend the life of the pavement. FPID: 439682-1

Cost $9 million estimated construction cost
