ATTENTION DRIVERS: The Eastbound I-4 Exit Ramp to U.S. 17-92 Closing Overnight June 13
Motorists should be advised that a full closure of the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp to U.S. 17-92 is scheduled to take place overnight on Thursday, June 13.
The closure is scheduled to start as soon as 10 p.m. Thursday, June 13, and is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Friday, June 14. This closure is necessary for overhead sign installation and is part of the I-4 Beyond the Ultimate project at the I-4 and U.S. 17-92 interchange.
Motorists heading east on I-4 are directed to take exit 101C, turning right onto State Road (S.R.) 46. Drivers will head east on S.R. 46 to County Road (C.R.) 15/Monroe Road and turn left, proceeding north to U.S. 17-92/Seminole Boulevard.
The I-4 and U.S. 17-92 interchange improvements project in Seminole County is expected to increase safety by improving sight distance for motorists, upgrading crosswalks for pedestrians and bicyclists, and reducing the speed limit from 50 mph to 35 mph.
Construction started in fall 2023 and is expected to be complete by late 2024.
