Overnight Rest Area and Ramp Closures Along I-4 in Seminole County August 18 and 19
UPDATE: ATTENTION DRIVERS: Overnight Rest Area and Ramp Closures Along I-4 in Seminole County August 18, 19, and 21
Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight rest area and ramp closures along Interstate 4 (I-4) in Seminole County on the nights of Monday, August 18, Tuesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 21.

The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning, with the last closure ending on the morning of Friday, August 22. These closures are necessary for road work on the ramps.

Motorists can expect the following overnight ramp closures:

Monday night, August 18:
  • Westbound I-4 exit/entrance ramp at rest area
  • Westbound I-4 rest area facility just east of State Road (S.R.) 434
Tuesday night, August 19:
  • Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to S.R. 436 (Exit 92)
  • Westbound I-4 exit ramp to Lake Destiny Road (Exit 90C)
Please note: These two ramps will not close at the same time. Closures will occur one at a time.

Thursday night, August 21:
  • Westbound I-4 exit ramps to eastbound and westbound Maitland Boulevard (S.R. 414), Exit 90A-B

Detour Information for August 21 Overnight Closure

Motorists traveling on westbound I-4 who wish to access Maitland Boulevard will first take Exit 90 B-A, then take Exit 90C on the right to Lake Destiny Road, before turning right onto northbound Lake Destiny Road. From there, drivers will turn left onto westbound Maitland. FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs.
