ATTENTION DRIVERS: Overnight Closures of the Eastbound I-4 Entrance Ramps from Apopka-Vineland Road August 9-13

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight closures of both eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramps from Apopka-Vineland Road (State Road (S.R.) 535) from Sunday, August 9, through Thursday, August 13. The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 6 a.m. each morning, with the final closures ending the morning of Friday, August 14.

These closures are necessary for paving work to lengthen the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road.

See detour information and maps below.

Eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road detour:

From northbound Apopka-Vineland Road, turn right onto eastbound Vineland Avenue toward International Drive. Turn left onto International Drive, then left again onto Daryl Carter Parkway. From there, turn right onto the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.

Eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from southbound Apopka-Vineland Road detour:

From southbound Apopka-Vineland Road, turn right onto westbound World Center Drive (S.R. 536). From there, take the entrance ramp on the right to eastbound I-4.

FFDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

This work is part of the improvement project at the I-4 and Apopka-Vineland Road interchange. Crews are reconstructing the interchange to enhance safety and improve access to and from westbound I-4 and extending I-4 Express. For more information about the project, visit I4Beyond.com/SR535.
