ATTENTION DRIVERS: Overnight Closure of the Northbound Turkey Lake Road Through Lanes at the Intersection of Sand Lake Road July 13
In addition to the left-turn lane closures at the Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) and Turkey Lake Road intersection, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement an intermittent overnight closure of the northbound Turkey Lake Road through lanes at the intersection on Monday, July 13. This closure is scheduled to begin as early as 11 p.m. and is expected to end by 6 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, July 14.
NOTE: If work is not completed on the night of Monday, July 13, then Tuesday, July 14, will serve as the backup date.
When the northbound Turkey Lake Road through lanes are closed, the left turn from northbound Turkey Lake Road to westbound Sand Lake Road will be open. The right turn to eastbound Sand Lake Road will remain open. Detours will be in place and signage will guide drivers around the work zone. Motorists should follow all posted signs, plan for extra travel time, and consider alternative routes.
These closures are necessary for force main installation at the Sand Lake Road and Turkey Lake Road intersection as part of the Interstate 4 (I-4) and Sand Lake Road interchange improvement project.
