I-4 Interchange modification at SR-482

ATTENTION DRIVERS: Overnight Closure of the Eastbound I-4 Entrance Ramp from Sand Lake Road July 26

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement an overnight closure of the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramp at Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) on Sunday, July 26. The closure is scheduled to begin as early as 10 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. on the morning of Monday, July 27.

This closure is necessary to install barrier wall on eastbound I-4 near Universal Boulevard.

NOTE: If this work is not completed on the night of Sunday, July 26, the night of Monday, July 27 will serve as a backup date for this work.

Detours for Eastbound I-4 Entrance Ramp from Sand Lake Road

  • During the ramp closure, motorists west of I-4 on Sand Lake Road can head north on Turkey Lake Road, turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, and then turn right onto southbound Universal Boulevard to access eastbound I-4.
  • Motorists east of I-4 on Sand Lake Road who wish to access eastbound I-4 should head north on International Drive and turn left onto northbound Universal Boulevard, then proceed to the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.

FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
