Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures along Interstate 4 (I-4) between Adventure Way (Exit 74B) and Sandspur Road/Maitland Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 414) (Exit 90A) from Monday night, July 28, through Thursday night, July 31.
The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning, with the last closure reopening on the morning of Friday, August 1. These closures are necessary for road work.
Motorists can expect the following overnight closures:
Monday night, July 28:
- Westbound I-4 entrance/exit ramps at Adventure Way, Exit 74B
- Westbound I-4 entrance ramp from southbound Kirkman Road (S.R. 435)
Tuesday night, July 29:
- Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Princeton Street (S.R. 438), Exit 85
- Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Par Street, Exit 86
Please note: These two ramps will not close at the same time. Closures will occur one at a time.
Wednesday night, July 30:
- Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Fairbanks Avenue (S.R. 426), Exit 87
- Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Lee Road (S.R. 423), Exit 88
Please note: These two ramps will also close one at a time.
Thursday night, July 31:
- Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Sandspur Road and eastbound Maitland Boulevard (S.R. 414), Exit 90A

Detour Information for July 28 Overnight Closures
From westbound I-4 to Adventure Way: Continue west on I-4 and take Exit 74A to Sand Lake Road (S.R. 482), staying in the outside right lane and turning right onto westbound Sand Lake Road at the traffic signal. From there, motorists will make a quick right turn onto northbound Turkey Lake Road, then turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, and proceed to Adventure Way.
From Adventure Way to westbound I-4: Proceed north on Adventure Way and turn left onto westbound Hollywood Way at the traffic signal. From there, motorists will turn left onto southbound Turkey Lake Road and proceed to Sand Lake Road. At the signal, motorists will turn left again onto eastbound Sand Lake Road, staying in the right lane and making a quick right turn onto the westbound I-4 entrance ramp.
From southbound Kirkman Road to westbound I-4: Continue south on Kirkman Road to the Sand Lake Road ramp, staying in the right lane and turning right onto westbound Sand Lake Road. From there, motorists will turn left to access westbound I-4.
Detour Information for July 29 Overnight Closures
From eastbound I-4 to Princeton Street: Continue east on I-4 and take Exit 86, turning right onto eastbound Par Street. From there, motorists will turn right onto southbound Clay Avenue and proceed to Princeton Street.
From eastbound I-4 to Par Street: Continue east on I-4 and take Exit 87, turning right onto eastbound Fairbanks Avenue. From there, motorists will turn right onto southbound Formosa Avenue and proceed to Par Street.
Detour Information for July 30 Overnight Closures
From eastbound I-4 to Fairbanks Avenue: Continue east on I-4 and take Exit 88, turning right onto eastbound Lee Road. From there, motorists will turn right onto southbound Wymore Road and proceed to Fairbanks Avenue.
From eastbound I-4 to Lee Road: Exit eastbound I-4 early at Exit 87 to Fairbanks Avenue, turning left onto westbound Fairbanks Avenue. From there, motorists will turn right onto northbound Wymore Road and procced to Lee Road.
Detour Information for July 31 Overnight Closures
Eastbound I-4 to eastbound Maitland Boulevard/Sandspur Road: Continue east on I-4, then take Exit 90B onto westbound Maitland Boulevard and proceed west before taking the Keller Road exit. After exiting westbound Maitland Boulevard, motorists will make a U-turn onto eastbound Maitland Boulevard. From there, motorists who wish to access Sandspur Road will continue east, turn right onto southbound Maitland Avenue, and turn right again onto Sandspur Road.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
