Attention drivers! The eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit, exit 71, to eastbound Central Florida Parkway is currently closed. Only left turns onto westbound Central Florida Parkway are allowed from this exit ramp. Drivers who wish to turn right onto eastbound Central Florida Parkway must follow the detour signs on I-4 and use the next exit, exit 72, to State Road 528. From there, drivers will have the option to use Westwood Boulevard or International Drive to access Central Florida Parkway.
This closure is anticipated to continue as construction on the project progresses. This closure is necessary for the safety of crews as they begin constructing a directional boring pit in this location. Other work being accomplished in this area includes utility relocations and setting up safety equipment for the upcoming boring operation.
This closure is part of the I-4 and Daryl Carter Parkway project, an interim project of I-4 Beyond the Ultimate. For more information on the construction at Daryl Carter Parkway, visit i4beyond.com/darylcarter.
