The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight traffic pacing operations on Interstate 4 (I-4) starting as early as 10 p.m. Tuesday night, January 27, through 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, January 28.
These operations are necessary for crews to remove utility cables and sign structures over I-4. Law enforcement officers will slow traffic to below 20 mph and may bring it to a complete stop for short durations to safely facilitate this work. Motorists attempting to enter I-4 from interchanges between World Drive and Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) may have to wait or follow law enforcement at a reduced speed. Motorists should plan accordingly, as delays are expected.
