New Traffic Pattern on Westbound I-4 near Sand Lake Road
Motorists should be advised that a traffic shift on westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) just west of Sand Lake Road is scheduled to begin Monday, October 9.
Double lane closures are scheduled to occur on westbound I-4 near Sand Lake Road beginning as soon as 11:30 p.m. Monday, October 9 and are expected to be complete by 6 a.m. Tuesday, October 10. The closures are necessary to complete the shift.
Beginning as soon as 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, all westbound I-4 mainline traffic will be shifted onto new temporary pavement in the median of I-4. The traffic shift will provide space to allow crews to begin road and bridge construction for the Sand Lake Road and I-4 interchange project. The shift will remain in place as the project progresses.
