Future I-4 Improvements at Daryl Carter Parkway

As part of I-4 Beyond the Ultimate, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is designing Interstate 4 (I-4) interchange improvements at Daryl Carter Parkway.

The I-4 and Daryl Carter Parkway design-bid-build project includes:

  • Converting the Daryl Carter Parkway overpass into a diverging diamond interchange.
  • Adding eastbound I-4 entrance and exit ramps and a westbound I-4 exit ramp at the new interchange. The westbound I-4 entrance ramp will be constructed at a later time with the final configuration.
  • Constructing a single westbound express lane from west of Daryl Carter Parkway to west of Central Florida Parkway. This express lane will be constructed in three separate projects with the finished lane extending from west of Sand Lake Road to west of State Road 536.
