The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is accelerating improvements to I-4, including a project to widen the westbound I-4 ramp to the eastbound Beachline Expressway (S.R. 528) at Exit 72.

The purpose of this project is to add capacity to the I-4 westbound ramp to eastbound S.R. 528 by widening the ramp from one lane to two lanes. The project began in January 2024 and is anticipated to reach completion in 2026.
