Crews Removing Vegetation for New Sound Barrier
Residents of Pine Bay Drive can expect crews to continue removing vegetation for sound barrier construction.
This work will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Trees in the right-of-way will be removed, and limbs from trees on private property that hang over the right-of-way line will be trimmed.
Construction of the sound barrier is expected to begin in January 2020. Clearing the area to the east of the eastbound I-4 travel lanes between E.E. Williamson Road and Lake Mary Boulevard will prepare the ground for the new eastbound I-4 auxiliary lane and future sound barrier.
