ATTENTION DRIVERS: Overnight Closures of Sand Lake Road Under I-4, Eastbound Entrance Ramp April 15-16, 19-21
Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight closures of Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) under Interstate 4 (I-4) on the nights of Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16. Additionally, the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Sand Lake Road will be closed overnight on those nights as well.
The closures will begin as early as 11 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m. each morning, with the final closure reopening the morning of Friday, April 17.
The following week, crews will implement the same closures during the same times, beginning Sunday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 21, with the final closure reopening the morning of Wednesday, April 22.
Motorists exiting I-4 at Sand Lake Road will be limited to right turns only during these closures, which are necessary for bridge demolition and bridge beam removal over Sand Lake Road as part of the improvements to the I-4 and Sand Lake Road interchange.
