FDOT Announces plans for I-4 Beyond the Ultimate construction lettings

As the design plans for the Sand Lake Road and Daryl Carter Parkway interchanges with Interstate 4 (I-4) progress, the Florida Department of Transportation District Five has announced planned letting dates for the construction of the two projects.

The letting date for the Daryl Carter Parkway/I-4 interchange, FPID 441113-1, is planned for September 2021. The work includes constructing three new ramps to connect I-4 to Daryl Carter Parkway, and converting the existing overpass to a diverging diamond interchange. The construction budget for this project is $49.8 million.

The letting date for the Sand Lake Road/I-4 interchange, FPID 444315-1, is planned for March 2022. The work includes converting the existing interchange to a diverging diamond interchange and building a new loop ramp to connect westbound Sand Lake Road to Turkey Lake Road. The construction budget for this project is $141.8 million.
