Alert System Offers Seminole County Motorists Information About Construction
With I-4 Beyond the Ultimate construction now underway in Seminole County, lanes, ramps, or roads may be closed, and traffic shifts may be implemented to accommodate the construction.
Motorists can learn of these changes in advance by taking advantage of the I‑4 Advance Construction Alert System.
Sign up for advance construction alerts by entering your contact information on I4Beyond.com/alerts. You can choose to receive email alerts, text alerts, or both, and also decide how often the alerts are delivered (weekly, daily, or an hour before each closure).
For Seminole County motorists who wish to receive alerts only for local closures, select “Between two interchanges” in the dropdown menu under “Alert Locations” and select “I‑4/US 17-92” and “I‑4/SR 436” in the Interchange 1 and 2 drop-down menus. Subscribers also can select to receive alerts for closures as far north as I‑4/SR 472 in Volusia County and as far south as I‑4/Kirkman Road (SR 435), and they can choose to receive alerts for closures around a single interchange.
The alert system also includes construction alerts from the I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project and Wekiva Parkway.
After filling in all of your information and clicking “Submit” at the bottom of the page, look for a message in your email inbox confirming your subscription or opt in to text subscription by replying “Yes.”
If you feel as if you are receiving too many alerts, or if you do not find them relevant, try editing your frequency of communications or adjust the geographic area from which you’re receiving alerts. To edit your preferences, visit I4Beyond.com/alerts and choose “Edit or Unsubscribe from Alerts” at the top of the page.
Prior to receiving text messages, users are required to opt-in by replying “YES” to the introductory message. Standard messaging and data rates may apply. Messaging frequency varies based on preferences.
